Recommended points
1. Traditional crafts of Shiga Prefecture
Daiyo's Japanese candles were designated as a traditional craft of Shiga Prefecture in 1984.
They are made using a manufacturing technique called "tekake," in which wax scooped up with bare hands is applied around a core in layers, allowed to dry, then layered again and allowed to dry.
2. Artisan manufacturing techniques
When you look at the cross section, you can see that it is made up of multiple layers of wax surrounding the wick. The wax is hard and has a long burn time of 60 minutes. It also has little wax dripping or oily smoke, making it safe to use.
3. Environmentally friendly and easy to use
The design prevents wax dripping and produces almost no oily smoke during combustion. It's a convenient household size and easy to use. The award-winning packaging makes it a perfect gift.
