On Sunday, September 15, 2024, we held the "Art on Toast - A colorful rice flour bread workshop where you can experience Japanese culture with all five senses."
This was Komedreaming's first collaborative workshop with artist and designer "SASAMANA".
SASAMANA is a popular artist who posted a work on Instagram called "Art on Toast" that uses bread as a canvas to express the beauty of ingredients.
Taking advantage of the natural appeal of the ingredients, he continues to present his food as "art created with the ingredients," not just in appearance, but also in the changes that occur after it is cooked, the texture and aroma that spreads in the mouth, and even the food disappearing when eaten.
The theme of this workshop event is "Enjoy Japanese Style."
Using gluten-free rice flour toast from Komeichi Bakery (https://komeichi.shop/) and ingredients that evoke a Japanese feeling, the workshop allowed participants to express their sensibilities through toast.
-How each ingredient is arranged-
Participants observed the ingredients while cutting, pasting, bending, etc.
Participants made toast in their own way, and it was a workshop where they could express themselves freely, using the bread as a canvas!
★-How it cooks until golden brown-
The bread smells so good after being toasted in the toaster.
It was also very interesting to see it come in different colors!
-It seems like they are enjoying the finished product as art-
We offer three types of sweet sake (kinako, matcha, and roasted green tea) in a set with toast.
We all enjoyed it!
This time, we held a collaborative event with SASAMANA.
We offer gluten-free bread made with rice flour, and sweet rice sake made with rice malt that is free of sugar and additives.
A workshop that uses taste, hearing, and sight while incorporating healthy foods.
The participants were also very pleased!
