A rice bran bed made from upcycled perilla seeds remaining after the oil has been extracted.
By adding perilla seeds, you can easily make pickles that have less of the pungent smell that is typical of rice bran pickles, and have a deep, mellow flavor.
You can easily turn leftover vegetable scraps from cooking into your own original pickled vegetables, reduce waste around the kitchen, and start "not throwing things away" in a delicious and easy way.
You can start pickling immediately and there is no need to mix it by hand every day.
The troublesome process of discarding and fermenting has already been completed, so you can start pickling right away. There is no need to stir every day, and the package can be used as a pickling container as is.
(2) Deep and mellow flavor
By adding perilla seeds, the pungent smell typical of pickled vegetables is reduced, resulting in a deep, mellow flavor. Perilla bran bed contains lactic acid bacteria, koji mold, and the essential fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid.

We use rice bran that is discarded during the rice polishing process, perilla seeds left over after squeezing perilla oil, and vegetables that do not meet the local standards for our "discarded pickles." Vegetable skins and cores that were previously discarded at home are also given a new life in delicious ways.
