Koji White ~Kodoin collaboration label~

This amazake is recommended as a souvenir from Tokyo or as a gift for someone special.

This product is a collaboration with Sanenzan Kodoin, a sub-temple of Zojoji Temple located near our store and a nationally registered tangible cultural property.
This project was made possible by the overlapping of our restaurant's desire to promote the good things about Japan through the food culture of rice and the desire of Kodoin Temple, which promotes Japanese culture through historic buildings that have stood since the Edo period, to "protect and develop the good culture of Japan."

Product highlights

(1) Edo Amazake Until now, our shop has only used rice produced in Fukushima, but this time, in line with the theme of "Edo Amazake," we are using rice produced in Tokyo. Tokyo is a big city with little storage, and it is especially difficult to secure rice paddies, so rice produced in Tokyo is very rare, but we realized this because we wanted to stick to the regional characteristics when creating it together with the neighboring temples.

(2) Non-alcoholic, no sweeteners or preservatives
This is a traditional plain amazake made by a long-established koji maker with 150 years of history. It is made by carefully fermenting the simple ingredients of rice, koji, and water.
The koji and rice are fully saccharide-treated, giving the sake a natural sweetness and a refreshing, easy-to-drink taste.It has no grainy texture and a smooth mouthfeel.

(3) The ukiyo-e print on the label expresses the beauty of Japan, with the vivid red tones symbolizing the massive gate of Zojoji Temple and the silence that can be felt from the whiteness of the falling snow, as the noise of the city fades away.
