[Report] Komedreaming was in charge of one of the onboard programs on the Great Voyage Cruise!

On September 15th, 2025, on board the Symphony Cruise around Tokyo Bay, Komedreaming held a "Sweet Sake & Sake Tasting and History Quiz Tournament" as one of the onboard activities.

This special six-hour cruise is held only once a year. This time, the theme was "The Arrival of the Black Ships: The World and Japan as Seen by Perry," and we proposed a plan to ensure that the more than 100 passengers on board could enjoy their time on board even more.

Fujii and Nishigaki were in charge of running the event on the day. It was the first time for either of them to take part in a six-hour cruise, and they were filled with great anticipation and excitement from the start.

The sight of the ship's whistle blowing as it set sail and all the passengers throwing paper streamers together was truly a spectacular and memorable moment.

After setting sail, while we were preparing to welcome our guests, we were able to enjoy the scenery that can only be seen at sea and the wheelhouse, which is normally off-limits to the public, and it was a valuable experience for us as well.

During the activity time, participants were divided into four groups and had the opportunity to compare amazake, doburoku, and sake. They also took part in a history quiz related to the arrival of Perry.

This quiz strongly reflected the thoughts of Naomi Shimabukuro, the owner of Komedreaming, and included questions that conveyed the charms of Japan that impressed Perry. The uniqueness of the quiz, combined with just the right level of difficulty, made it enjoyable for all participants.

We received many positive comments, such as "I'm not a big fan of amazake, but this was delicious," "The quiz helped me use my brain and have fun," and "I was able to really tell the difference between the different flavors by comparing them," making this a hugely successful event.

Komedreaming will continue to promote the charm of Japan through its food culture and provide everyone with special experiences.
