Arito Ichigo General Store Abundant Gold Earrings
They use the fukane-maki technique, in which each grain of rice is taken by hand and carefully wrapped around a wire.
This project is being jointly developed by Aki's Handmade Workshop, a natural stone accessory maker, Kadoto Farm, which produces rice using the pesticide-free duck farming method in Fukutomi-cho, Higashihiroshima City, and Arito Ichigo, a carefully selected general goods store in Higashihiroshima.
Product highlights
(1) The technique of Fukane rolling: Each and every grain of rice is rolled into accessories using a technique called “Fukane rolling®️” by Aki Handmade Workshop.
(2) Carefully Selected Rice Kadoto Farm uses the pesticide-free sake rice “Omachi” grown using the duck farming method.
(3) Attention to design
Rice has been considered a lucky charm since ancient times in Japan, and has been treasured as a gift for celebrations and as an offering in ceremonies of gratitude. We incorporate the scenery and atmosphere of Japan into the design of our accessories.
